How to label cables
Labeling is the step people skip — and regret. A few minutes now saves you from tracing cords by hand later.
Label both ends
Tag each cord near the plug and near the device so either end tells you what it is.
Use durable labels
Wrap-around labels or flag tags stay readable; handwritten tape fades and peels.
Label as you bundle
Tag cords before you sleeve or tie them, while they're still easy to trace.
